Dependencies and critical path

Finish-to-start, start-to-start and more; the chain that sets the end date is always highlighted.

Baselines

Save the agreed plan and compare every later version against it.

Sprints and kanban

Backlogs, story points, velocity and burndown for agile teams — on the same project.

Templates

Start from your own playbooks for implementations, builds, audits and events.

Whiteboard

Draw the plan, discuss it, and move the project

An infinite canvas inside every project. Teams brainstorm, map the plan, argue about the architecture and run retrospectives together — then turn the board into work with one click.

  • Live collaboration with cursors, comments, reactions and polls
  • Sticky notes, shapes, connectors, code blocks, files and frames
  • 21+ templates — roadmap, retro, risk matrix, user story map, fishbone and more
  • AI turns notes into tasks, typed and prioritised, linked back to the board
  • Presentation mode — present frames as slides in project reviews
  • Navigate the project — boards link to milestones, tasks and decisions
Resources & budget

Allocate people and money — then trace every hour and rupee

Resource and budget allocation are planned up front and tracked against actuals from timesheets, expenses, purchases and payroll — because they all post into the same platform.

Traceability

From the first requirement to the release that shipped it

Every link in the chain is recorded, so you can trace forwards from a requirement or backwards from a defect — for client sign-off, audits and regulated delivery.

Delivery, live

Boards that move — and charts that keep up

Work moves across the board as people update it, and burndown, velocity, cycle time and risk charts redraw with it. Leadership gets the same live picture as the team.

  • Kanban and sprint boards with WIP limits and swimlanes
  • Burndown, burn-up, velocity and cycle time charts
  • RAID register — risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies with a heat map
  • Automated stand-ups collected in Slack, Teams or the app
  • Portfolio dashboards with RAG status across every project

Connected

Projects connected to people and money

Resources come from HRMS, costs and invoices go to Finance, and won deals arrive as ready-made projects.

Sales AI → ProjectsKick-off without re-typing

A won deal creates the project with scope, budget, team and milestones from the proposal.

HRMS → ProjectsReal capacity

Leave, skills and utilisation come from HRMS, so allocations reflect who is actually available.

Projects → FinanceDelivery that bills

Approved timesheets and completed milestones raise invoices; costs post against the budget.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask us

Does WorkSuite support both agile and waterfall projects?
Yes, and hybrids. Waterfall projects get Gantt charts with dependencies, baselines and critical path; agile teams get backlogs, sprints, kanban boards, story points, velocity and burndown. A programme can mix both, and the portfolio view rolls them up together.
How are budgets tracked?
Each project gets a budget by phase, cost type or milestone. Timesheets, expenses, purchases and payroll cost post against it from the rest of WorkSuite, so actuals are real rather than estimated. Earned value — planned value, earned value, cost and schedule performance — is calculated continuously, with alerts before an overrun.
What does the whiteboard do that a separate tool does not?
It lives inside the project. Plans, retrospectives and architecture discussions happen on an infinite canvas with live cursors, comments and polls — and one click turns sticky notes into typed, prioritised tasks in that project, linked back to the board they came from. Frames can be presented as slides in reviews.
What do you mean by end-to-end traceability?
Every requirement links to the tasks that deliver it, the code changes and pull requests that implement it, the tests that verify it, and the release that ships it. You can trace forwards from a requirement or backwards from a defect, which matters for audits, client sign-offs and regulated work.
Can clients see progress?
Yes. A client portal shows the milestones, timelines, documents and approvals you choose to share, and clients can sign off deliverables there. Internal notes, costs and margins stay internal.
Does it handle billing for services projects?
Fixed-price milestones, time-and-materials and retainers are all supported. Approved timesheets and completed milestones become invoices in WorkSuite Finance with the right tax, and project margin is visible while the project is still running.
